VRA Session-End Modal Appears Across All Salesforce Tabs

Description

When an agent ends a Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) session, the session-end confirmation modal appears in every open Salesforce tab and browser window on the agent's machine — not just the tab where the session was active. Each tab requires a separate dismissal. Sessions also open across all tabs simultaneously when started.

Cause

The Invite Form - Visual Remote Assistant component has been added to the utility bar. This component must be placed on a record page or app page — adding it to the utility bar causes VRA session events to broadcast across all open Salesforce tabs.

Resolution

Remove the Invite Form - Visual Remote Assistant component from the utility bar:

  1. In Lightning Experience, click the gear icon and select Setup.
  2. In Quick Find, search for and select App Manager.
  3. Find the app where the VRA component is configured. Click the dropdown arrow on the right of the app row and select Edit.
  4. Click Utility Items (Desktop Only) in the left sidebar.
  5. Locate Invite Form - Visual Remote Assistant and click the delete icon to remove it.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Have the agent close all Salesforce tabs and log back in, then test a new VRA session.

After removing the component, the session-end modal appears only in the tab where the VRA session is active, and sessions no longer open across all tabs on start.
