Market-Based Emissions Changes Introduced in Summer Release 262

With the Summer Release (262), Salesforce has introduced changes to the calculation of Market-Based Emissions for Energy Use Records.

To align more closely with the GHG Protocol, Salesforce now supports Market-Based Emissions calculations only for the four standard fuel types:

• Electricity
• Heat
• Cooling
• Steam

This change is in accordance with the official Net Zero Developer Guide.

Market-Based Emissions calculations will no longer be supported for any other standard fuel types or custom fuel types, even if the Carbon Emissions Scope Allocation field is configured.
