Restricting users to only read access on Debit Memo and Credit Memo objects

Task

The Billing Operations User Permission Set provides both read and create access on Debit Memo and Credit Memo objects which might not be suitable for all personas.

Steps

The following steps can be used to grant Read Access to Debit Memos for a particular user:

  • Ensure that the Debit Memo tab is On for the profile.
  • Create a Permission Set Group.
  • Add the Billing Operations User Permission Set to the Permission Set Group.
  • Add a Muting Permission Set.
  • Mute the Create and Edit access.

For Credit Memos, mute the following System Permissions in the same Permission Set Group:

  • Credit Memo API User
  • Access Credit Memo Recovery API
