Error "UNEXPECTED_ERROR_DRURING_LOOKUP" When Cloning Quote Line Items

When working on a quote with multiple line items, attempting to clone a segment triggers a popover error message.

UNEXPECTED_ERROR_DURING_LOOKUP

 

This issue occurs during the segment cloning process. Standard actions such as Reprice All complete successfully.

 

Cause:

  • The Pricing Procedure configuration triggers the error.
  • Decision tables (for example, custom promotions or volume discounts) process large volumes or many line items at once.
  • A lookup timeout or limit exception occurs.
  • Backend logs show a breakdown related to the PriceAdjustmentMatrix.
解決策

To resolve this issue, an administrator must change the data volume type of the decision tables utilized by the Pricing Procedure. Upgrading the tables allows Salesforce to efficiently process complex lookups for multiple cloned line items.

 

Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary administrative permissions to modify Business Rules Engine configurations and Decision Tables.

  1. Navigate to the App Launcher (nine-dot icon) and select Decision Tables.

  2. Locate and open the first decision table associated with your Pricing Procedure 

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Change the table type selection to Medium volume DT (Advanced).

  5. Save and activate the decision table.

  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for any other decision tables used by the procedure.

  7. Return to the Quote record, refresh your browser page, and verify that you can now clone the segments successfully.
