lsc4ce.ProviderAffiliationTrigger Fails with "Field __ is not editable" Error When Editing Provider Affiliation Records

Example Error Message with one field:
lsc4ce.ProviderAffiliationTrigger: execution of BeforeUpdate caused by: System.SObjectException: Field AccountName is not editable (System Code)


Permissions on Affected User :
  • Health Cloud Starter
  • Life Science Commercial

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Log into the Org as a KAM user.
  • Open an Account.
  • Create a Provider Affiliation record with all mapped fields 
  • Log in as Admin and approve the created record
  • Switch back to Affected user(KAM) and edit any Provider Affiliation field (e.g., Role, Affiliation Type)
  • Error is thrown on the UI

Root Cause:

Managed fields are expected to be non-calculated fields as these are the fields the user can change. And changes to managed fields need to be reviewed and approved. Calculated fields are dependent on non-calculated fields. So mentioning calculated fields (non-editable fields) as managed does not fit the usecase here.

Решение
  1. Navigate to defined LifeSciDataChgDefMngFld (Life Sciences Data Change Definition Managed Field) records in the org
  2. Locate the entries for affected fields associated with the Provider Affiliation object
  3. Remove any calculated fields from the managed fields in LifeSciDataChgDefMngFld records
    • These are calculated/formula fields and are non-editable — they must not be included as managed field definitions
  4. Save the changes
  5. Have the KAM user retry editing the Provider Affiliation record (e.g., Role, Affiliation Type)
  6. Confirm the error no longer appears and the record is updated successfully
