Error "QUERY_EXECUTOR|UNAVAILABLE: RST_STREAM closed stream" when accessing Calculated Insights in Field Service Intelligence

Дата публикации: Jul 31, 2026
Описание
Problem
After installing Field Service Intelligence, the Calculated Insights dashboards display no data or remain in an indefinite loading state. Dashboard queries fail with the error QUERY_EXECUTOR|UNAVAILABLE: RST_STREAM closed stream. Trace IDs may appear in logs, but no data visualization renders. This affects dashboards such as Technician Utilization and other Field Service Intelligence metrics.

Cause
The semantic layer stream closes when Field Service Intelligence initialization does not complete successfully after installation. This is typically caused by one or more of the following:
  • Incomplete Work Resource Data Model (DMO) mapping — the semantic layer cannot establish a stable connection until all required field mappings are configured and synchronized.
  • Calculated Insights initialization failure — the persistent connection to the semantic layer was not established during post-installation setup, causing all subsequent dashboard queries to fail.

Решение
Resolution
The semantic layer stream closed because Field Service Intelligence initialization did not complete fully. Follow the steps below to resolve:
Step 1 — Verify Field Service Intelligence Installation

  1. In Setup, navigate to Installed Packages.
  2. Confirm Field Service Intelligence is listed with status Installed.
  3. If the package shows an error status, uninstall and reinstall it following the Field Service installation guide.
Step 2 — Validate Work Resource DMO Mapping

  1. In Setup, use Quick Find to navigate to Data Model Configuration or Field Service Intelligence Settings.
  2. Locate the Work Resource DMO Mapping section.
  3. Confirm all required fields are mapped:
    • Service Resource to Work Resource relationship
    • Skill and availability fields
    • Territory and assignment fields
  4. If any mapping is incomplete or shows a warning, complete the mapping and save.
  5. Allow 5–10 minutes for the semantic layer to re-synchronize after saving mapping changes.
Step 3 — Reinitialize Calculated Insights

  1. Navigate to the Calculated Insights tab in Field Service Intelligence.
  2. If the tab displays a loading state or error, refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R).
  3. Wait 2–3 minutes for the semantic layer to re-establish its connection.
  4. If the error persists, log out and log back in to force a fresh session initialization.

Step 4 — Verify Semantic Layer Connectivity

  1. Open the browser Developer Console (F12) and navigate to the Network tab.
  2. Reload the Calculated Insights tab.
  3. Look for API calls to the semantic layer endpoint and confirm they return HTTP 200.
  4. If calls return 5xx errors or connection timeouts, the semantic layer stream is not stable — proceed to Step 5.

Step 5 — Elevate if Unresolved

If the semantic layer stream remains closed after completing all steps above, open a support case with the following:

  • Trace IDs from the error message
  • Org ID and sandbox name (if applicable)
  • Confirmation that Work Resource DMO mapping is complete
  • Screenshots of the Calculated Insights tab showing the error
