In Financial Services Cloud, when searching for a business or person account by ID or business license, the following error may appear:

"We couldn't search for matches. Specify at least one value under the Account Information section and try again."

This error fires when the search component submits no recognized search criteria, even though a value was entered.

Common scenarios include:

  • The field typed into is not part of the field set or search layout.
  • The searchable field is hidden by field-level security for the user's profile or permission set
  • This affects users with FSC Sales or Financial Services Cloud Extension licenses
Ratkaisu
Cause 1: The Field Is Not in the Search Field Set or Search Layout
  1. From Setup, go to Object Manager > Account > Search Layouts.
  2. Open the search layout and confirm it includes the fields you want to search on.
  3. Go to Object Manager > Account > Field Sets and open the field set driving the Account Information search section.
  4. Add the required fields to the field set and click Save.
Cause 2: Field-Level Security Is Hiding the Field
  1. From Setup, go to Object Manager > Account > Fields & Relationships and open the field you are searching on.
  2. Click Set Field-Level Security.
  3. For each affected profile, check Visible.
  4. Click Save.
Cause 3: No Value Entered in the Section
  1. In the FSC account search, ensure you are entering your value inside a field within the Account Information section.
  2. Enter at least one value before clicking Search. The error indicates the submitted criteria set was empty.
