Task Fields (Assigned To, Recurring Series of Tasks, Reminder Set) are Not Editable on iPad

Fecha de publicación: Jul 5, 2026
Descripción

In Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, users on the iPad application experience  issues with Task records that do not occur on the desktop web. First, when creating a Task, the Assigned To field is not editable, and the Reminder Set and Recurring Series of Tasks sub-fields do not render after toggling the checkboxes .

When a user opens the LSC iPad app and attempts to create a new Task record, the following fields behave differently from the web:

  • Assigned To (OwnerId): Users unable to edit Assigned To field
  • Reminder Set: After toggling the "Reminder Set" checkbox, the associated date and time sub-fields do not appear on iPad.
  • Create Recurring Series of Tasks: After toggling the recurrence checkbox, the sub-fields (frequency, repeat, start/end date) do not render on iPad.

Solución

Task Fields Not Editable on iPad:

Assigned To field is read-only: This is Working as Designed. The OwnerId field is intentionally configured as read-only during Task creation in the LSC iPad app. It is automatically set to the logged-in user.

Reminder Set and Recurring sub-fields not rendering:

On the Salesforce web application, selecting Reminder or Create Recurring Series of Tasks automatically displays their related dependent fields. This behavior is native to the Salesforce platform and is driven by built-in, hardcoded functionality rather than any configurable settings.

The field visibility logic originates from the Salesforce web platform itself. The corresponding native logic has not been implemented in the mobile application; therefore, the dependent fields are not automatically revealed on mobile as they are on the web.

At this time, this functionality is not available in the mobile version.
