Financial Services Cloud (FSC) Digital Lending and Document Checklist Permission Sets Not Appearing in Setup

This article explains why the Digital Lending permission set, the Document Checklist Item permission set, or the Document Category and Document Type setup pages may be missing from your Financial Services Cloud (FSC) org, and how to resolve it. The goal is to help you confirm license provisioning, verify edition support, and activate the required features so that document checklist configuration becomes available. You may notice that the permission sets do not appear in Setup, or that the Document Category and Document Type pages are simply absent with no error message. This issue most commonly affects administrators configuring FSC Digital Lending and Document Checklist Items for loan origination or financial intermediary workflows, particularly in sandbox environments. The issue occurs when the Digital Lending Permission Set License is not provisioned in the org, when the org is running an unsupported Salesforce edition, or when the required FSC features have not been activated. Sandbox orgs cloned from a production org that also lacks the necessary license will experience the same behavior.

Solución

Cause 1: The Digital Lending Permission Set License is not provisioned in the org

Navigate to Setup > Company Information and scroll down to the Permission Set Licenses related list.

Look for an entry named "Digital Lending." If it is not listed, the license has not been provisioned and the Digital Lending permission set cannot be created or assigned in your org.

If you are working in a sandbox, repeat this check in the source production org. If the production org also lacks the Digital Lending Permission Set License, the sandbox cannot inherit it. The license must first be added to the production org, after which you will need to perform Match Production License to inherit the provisioned license.

Once the license appears under Permission Set Licenses, go to Setup > Permission Sets and confirm that both the "Digital Lending" and "Document Checklist Item" permission sets are now visible.

Cause 2: Your org edition does not support the Document Category and Document Type object

Confirm your edition by going to Setup > Company Information and checking the "Organization Edition" field.

The Document Category and Document Type junction object — used to link document types with categories — is available only in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions.

It is not supported in Performance Edition. If your org runs Performance Edition, the Document Category and Document Type setup pages will not appear. Use a supported edition to complete this configuration.
