Description

Creating an Agentforce Data Library (ADL) using a Knowledge source fails with the following error:

"We couldn't save your data library. Try again."

This issue occurs when the automatically generated Search Index DeveloperName is truncated to the 29-character limit, and the final (29th) character is an underscore (_). In this scenario, the invalid truncated DeveloperName causes the ADL creation process to fail.

Résolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Confirm that the failure matches the known behavior as described in the Description section. This issue occurs when ADL creation with a Knowledge source fails because the automatically generated Search Index DeveloperName is truncated at the 29-character limit, and the 29th character is an underscore (_).
  2. Rename the ADL so that the automatically generated Search Index DeveloperName does not end with an underscore after truncation. Specifically, ensure that the ADL name does not contain a space or underscore at the 29th character position.
