Unable to Add Users/Groups While Tableau Server Is Set Up with Kerberos Authentication

Tableau Server using the Kerberos Authentication method doesn't allow the admin to add users/groups, resulting in the error: 'Couldn't add user because you don't have access to the domain'.

Vizportal logs in debug mode show this error :

Invalid credentials (error code=100049).

Solución

Run the following commands to add the SPN username and password to the Tableau Server configuration.

tsm config set -k wgserver.domain.ldap.username -v "SPN_ServiceAccount_Username"

tsm config set -k wgserver.domain.ldap.password -v "SPN_ServiceAccount_Password"

tsm pending-changes apply
