Macros are a Service Cloud productivity feature that automates a repeatable set of screen actions. Whether Macros work in a given app depends on the objects and page layouts used. In Lightning Experience, Macros are supported on all standard objects except Campaign, and on custom objects that allow quick actions and have customizable page layouts.
The Macros utility can be added to any Lightning app, including the Financial Services Cloud Wealth Management app except Managed Package apps (App Type - Lightning (Managed)).
The steps below confirm Macros compatibility in the Financial Services Cloud Wealth Management app and explain how to add the Macros utility so users can run macros against supported records. Macros are supported in the Wealth Management app, provided the target object supports quick actions, has a customizable page layout, and the running user has the required permissions.
The Macros utility can be added to any Lightning app, including the Financial Services Cloud Wealth Management app (Except Managed Package app). Once added, the Macros panel is available from the utility bar while users work with records.
