Salesforce Financial Services Cloud: FinancialAccountId field missing on Collection Plan after enabling Collections and Recovery

公開日: Jul 14, 2026
説明

After enabling the Collections and Recovery package in Financial Services Cloud, the published Collections Data Model shows a relationship between Financial Accounts and Collection Plans, but no field linking the two objects appears on either the FinancialAccount object or the CollectionPlan object.

The root cause is that the FinancialAccountId lookup field is the supported, documented mechanism for linking Financial Accounts to Collection Plans, but this field is only available when the standard (non-managed) FinancialAccount object is present.

The standard FinancialAccount object is part of the Financial Account Management Standard Objects feature. Until that feature is enabled, the standard fields that establish the relationship — including the link between FinancialAccount and CollectionPlan — are not exposed in Object Manager, which is why users report missing standard fields on the Collection Plan object.

解決策

To expose the Financial Account [FinancialAccountId] lookup that links Financial Accounts to Collection Plans, enable the Financial Account Management Standard Objects feature in Financial Services Cloud. The FinancialAccountId lookup field exists on the standard Collection Plan [CollectionPlan] object and is the supported mechanism for this relationship. However, it is available only when the standard (non-managed) FinancialAccount object is enabled.

Cause: Standard FinancialAccount object not enabled

The relationship between Financial Accounts and Collection Plans in the Collections Data Model is implemented through the Financial Account [FinancialAccountId] lookup on the standard Collection Plan [CollectionPlan] object.

This lookup field, along with the standard fields on the Collection Plan object, is not visible in Setup until the Financial Account Management Standard Objects feature is enabled. This feature provides the standard (non-managed) FinancialAccount object that the lookup references.

Enable Financial Account Management Standard Objects

  1. Navigate to Setup > Financial Account Settings.
  2. Enable Financial Account Management Standard Objects.
  3. Click Save.

Confirm the linking field is present

  1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager > Collection Plan [CollectionPlan] > Fields & Relationships.
  2. Verify that the standard Financial Account [FinancialAccountId] lookup field is listed. This field links each Collection Plan record to a Financial Account record.

Verification

Create or open a Collection Plan record and populate the Financial Account [FinancialAccountId] lookup with a Financial Account record. Save the record and verify that the Collection Plan is successfully linked to the Financial Account through the standard lookup field. This confirms that the supported relationship is in place without requiring a custom field.
