The users configuring Interaction Summaries in Financial Services Cloud (FSC) may find that the feature cannot be enabled and the required licenses are missing.
The Common symptoms include: the Interaction Summary Settings option is not available in Setup:
The standard Interaction Summary and Interaction objects are not available in Object Manager
The Financial Services Cloud Extension license shows as disabled with 0 available licenses; and the FSC Sales Permission Set License is not present under Permission Set Licenses.
The users describe this as: "I don't seem to have the licenses available" and "Help documentation says I need a license but you say I don't" and note the org already meets the required editions.
Interaction Summaries is available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions, so meeting the edition requirement alone does not make the feature available.
Access to Interaction Summaries in FSC depends on the Financial Services Cloud Extension permission set license being provisioned, and this license is required to expose the Interaction Summary and Interaction objects and the Interaction Summary Settings.
The behavior frequently appears in a sandbox because sandbox licenses depend on the licenses provisioned in the source production org.
If the Financial Services Cloud Extension license is disabled or shows 0 licenses in production, a cloned or refreshed sandbox inherits the same absence, and the licenses do not appear in the sandbox.
