"Edit" Link No Longer Displayed in the "Added to Favorites" Confirmation Toast

Julkaisupäivä: Jul 22, 2026
Kuvaus

In Lightning Experience, after a user adds a page or record to Favorites, a confirmation toast is displayed indicating that the item has been added successfully.

Beginning with the Summer '26 release, the confirmation toast no longer includes the Edit link that previously allowed users to rename a newly added favorite directly from the toast. This change was introduced as an accessibility improvement to align with WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 2.2.1 (Timing Adjustable) by removing interactive actions from an auto-dismissing notification. Users can continue to rename Favorites from the Favorites menu.

For more information, see the WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 2.2.1 – Timing Adjustable documentation.

This behavior is expected.

When a page or record is added to Favorites, Lightning Experience displays a confirmation toast confirming that the item has been added successfully. The confirmation toast no longer includes an Edit link for renaming the favorite.

To rename a favorite:

  1. Click the Favorites icon in the Lightning Experience header.
  2. Locate the favorite you want to rename.
  3. Open the favorite's actions menu.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Update the favorite name and save your changes.
