Salesforce: Replace a Deleted Sandbox by Creating a New One

公開日: Jul 20, 2026
説明

Deleted Salesforce sandboxes cannot be recovered — all data and changes are permanently removed. The fastest path back to testing is to create a new sandbox immediately using either your Production org or another sandbox as the source. This article explains how to verify your available sandbox slots and create a replacement.

Successfully create a new Salesforce sandbox to replace a deleted or lost one by following the steps below.

Understanding Sandbox Deletion

  • Deletion is Final: If a sandbox was deleted, all the data and changes are permanently removed. It cannot be recovered.
  • Act Quickly: Your fastest path back to testing is to create a new sandbox immediately, using either your Production Org or Another Sandbox as the source.

Check for Available Sandbox Slots

  1. Log in to your main Production Org.
  2. Click the gear icon and select Setup.
  3. In the Quick Find box, type Sandbox and select it.
  4. Look at the list of sandboxes. If you see a "Create a Sandbox" button, you have an available slot.

Create Your New Sandbox

  1. Click the Create a Sandbox button.
  2. Name Your Sandbox: Give it a clear, unique name (like "MyTestOrg" or "NewDev").
  3. Choose the Copy Type that matches your testing needs:
    • Full: Copies all data and takes the longest time to create.
    • Partial: Copies metadata and a sample of data with 5 GB of data storage.
    • Developer Pro: Copies metadata with 1 GB storage and no data.
    • Developer: Copies metadata with 200 MB storage and no data.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Once the sandbox is ready, click the Login link to start using your new sandbox.
