When a Messaging Session is linked to a Case, Salesforce automatically updates the native Source ID field on the Case record. Because this update is processed as a standard Case record update, the platform re-evaluates and executes all active automations on the Case object — including record-triggered flows, Process Builder automations, Apex triggers, and any other configured automation.

Ratkaisu

Update Flow Entry Criteria: Refine the entry conditions of the affected Case Flows so they do not execute when the Case is updated as part of the Messaging Session linkage (for example, when the Source ID is updated).

Implement Apex Trigger Bypass: Introduce a static variable-based bypass mechanism in the Case Apex triggers to skip trigger execution during this specific platform-driven update and prevent unnecessary recursion and governor limit consumption.
