Salesforce Lightning Sync Retirement

Salesforce is retiring Lightning Sync in 2027. Existing Lightning Sync customers are encouraged to transition to Einstein Activity Capture (EAC). Microsoft is also shutting down EWS for M365/Exchange Online starting October 2026.

We advise all customers to transition to Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) to ensure seamless integration between their Email, Calendar. Contacts and Salesforce.

Einstein Activity Capture requires Sales Cloud licenses. We recognize that customers who currently use over 100 non-Sales Cloud licenses, Government Cloud orgs and/or orgs that need to comply with local data residency requirements cannot easily migrate to EAC.


 

 

Ratkaisu

To support these customers, our engineering teams are actively working to accommodate Graph support with Lightning Sync. This feature is scheduled to roll out with Summer '26 Patch 13 (effective once the patch reaches your org's pod). Use this guide to check your org's current release version.
