Unified Catalog Form Generation Fails When a Lookup Custom Attribute References a Data Lake Model (DLM) Object

Publish Date: Jul 26, 2026
Description

After adding attributes to a Unified Catalog form, you may be unable to generate the intake form. When you select Generate Intake Form, you are returned to the same page without the form being generated or an error message being displayed. The same behavior may also occur when you attempt to create a new product.

This behavior occurs when the form contains a Lookup custom attribute that references a Data Lake Model (DLM) object.

Resolution
  • Verify whether your Unified Catalog form contains a Lookup custom attribute that references a Data Lake Model (DLM) object.
  • If it does, note that Lookup custom attributes do not currently support Data Lake Model (DLM) objects.
