Revenue Cloud Advanced: "Something Went Wrong. For Help, Contact Your Salesforce Admin" Error When Enabling Instant Pricing or Transaction Processing

When navigating to Setup > Revenue Settings in Revenue Cloud Advanced, administrators attempting to enable features such as Instant Pricing, Transaction Processing for Quotes and Orders, or other Revenue Cloud settings may encounter the following error:

"Something went wrong. For help, contact your Salesforce Admin."

Affected settings may also appear greyed out or unresponsive, preventing any configuration changes.

This error occurs because Revenue Cloud Features is a foundational prerequisite that must be active before any dependent settings can be enabled. Attempting to enable Instant Pricing, Transaction Processing, or other Revenue Cloud functionality without first enabling Revenue Cloud Features will trigger this error regardless of user permissions or other configurations.

Solución

Enable Revenue Cloud Features first to satisfy the prerequisite requirement, then enable the desired dependent settings.

1. Navigate to Setup > Revenue Settings.
2. Locate Revenue Cloud Features and enable it.
3. Click Save.
4. Return to Setup > Revenue Settings.
5. Enable the required feature, such as:
   - Instant Pricing
   - Transaction Processing for Quotes and Orders
   - Any other required Revenue Cloud settings

Once Revenue Cloud Features is enabled, all dependent Revenue Cloud settings can be enabled without generating additional errors.

Note: Revenue Cloud Features must be the first setting enabled during any Revenue Cloud implementation. This prerequisite applies to all Revenue Cloud configuration areas, including Pricing, Ordering, Transaction Processing, and Communications settings.
