Enable Work Order Related Marker for Native GIS

公開日: Jul 28, 2026
説明

Problem

Customers who want to test Work Order location tracking and mapping functionality need the Work Order Related Marker feature activated for Native GIS. This feature is not self-service and requires Salesforce Support to enable it on the backend.

Cause

The Work Order Related Marker feature for Native GIS is a backend-controlled setting. It cannot be enabled directly from Setup and must be activated by Salesforce Support on a per-org basis after eligibility is verified.

Prerequisites
  • The org has a valid Field Service license.
  • Native GIS is already enabled in the production org.
  • The org ID is available (format: 00D + 15 alphanumeric characters — found in Setup → System Overview, or in the org URL).
  • You have administrative access to the org.

Step 1 — Submit the Support Request

Contact Salesforce Support and provide:

  • Org ID
  • Business use case (e.g., testing, pilot implementation)

Step 2 — Support Verification and Activation

  1. Salesforce Support verifies eligibility and requests backend access to the sandbox.
  2. Support enables the Work Order Related Marker feature.
  3. You receive confirmation when the feature is active.

Step 3 — Post-Enablement Configuration

  1. Log into the sandbox org.
  2. Navigate to Setup → Object Manager → Work Order.
  3. Confirm the Work Order Related Marker field appears in the field list.
  4. Add the field to the relevant Work Order page layouts (Setup → Object Manager → Work Order → Page Layouts).
  5. Configure ArcGIS Web Map integration by following the steps in the related article Set Up ArcGIS for Native GIS.
  6. Test the Work Order Related Marker feature in sandbox before deploying to production.

Troubleshooting

Work Order Related Marker field does not appear after enablement confirmation
  • Clear the browser cache, log out of the org, and log back in.
  • Verify that the user profile or permission set includes field-level read access to the Work Order Related Marker field.
  • Contact Salesforce Support to confirm the activation completed successfully.

Work Order Related Marker field is not visible on the page layout
  • The field may be enabled but not added to the layout. Navigate to Setup → Object Manager → Work Order → Page Layouts, select the relevant layout, and drag the Work Order Related Marker field into position.
  • Save the layout and refresh the browser.

Feature is enabled but not working in the Field Service Mobile App
  • Update the Field Service Mobile App from the device's app store and verify the version is current.
  • Confirm that the Work Order Related Marker field is included in the mobile app's offline sync configuration.
