When using the State and Country/Territory Picklists Convert wizard, the "Change To" dropdown does not display the exact value that is configured.
- The Configure list shows a country with a customized name (e.g., "Viet Nam").
- The Convert wizard's "Change To" dropdown shows the standard name for the same country (e.g., "Vietnam") instead of the configured value.
- Users are unable to map existing text values to the intended label from the 'Change To' dropdown.
The Convert wizard evaluates whether the logged-in user's language matches the org's default language. When these differ, the wizard bypasses the configured label (master_label) and falls back to the standard English label for that country code.
Option 1 — Use a user account whose language matches the org default language
1. Identify the org's default language via Setup > Company Information > Default Language.
2. Log in as a user whose personal language matches the org default language.
3. Navigate to Setup > State and Country/Territory Picklists > Convert.
4. The "Change To" dropdown will now display the configured value correctly.
5. Complete all country/state mappings in that session.
Option 2 — Temporarily change your personal language
1. Go to Personal Settings > Language & Time Zone.
2. Set Language to match the org's default language.
3. Save and refresh the page.
4. Run the Convert wizard — the configured label will appear correctly.
5. After completing the conversion, revert your language setting
