Executing queries via the Anypoint Monitoring Metrics API for an API instance in one environment (e.g., Staging) returns null or empty dataset results ("data": []).
The same API query might be succeeding and returning valid metric data when pointed to another environment.
The built-in dashboard in the Anypoint Monitoring UI actively displays metrics for the target API instance.
The API request returns a 200 OK HTTP status code .
The Connected App used to generate the Bearer Token lacks the required environment-level scopes/permissions for the target environment .
Because metrics are filtered by access rights, the API silently excludes data for environments where the token lacks permission, resulting in empty or null responses rather than an explicit HTTP access denied error.
The Connected App must be granted the following permissions for each target Business Group and Environment:
API Configuration Viewer (Environment level)
Read application / Read Applications (Environment level)
