Customers who run daily data loads that temporarily update Banker.UserOrContactId from a User to an Employee Contact will observe that the Branch Selector widget shows no available branches during that window. Once a subsequent batch process restores the field back to the corresponding User, the widget resumes normal behavior.
Although the Salesforce Developer Guide for the Banker object states that UserOrContactId can reference either a User or a Contact, the Branch Selector widget only resolves branch assignments when the field points to a User.
Recommended approach: Ensure that Banker.UserOrContactId references a User record at all times when the Branch Selector widget is in use.
There is no native, supported approach to make the Branch Selector display branches while UserOrContactId is associated with a Contact record.
