DataWeave filterObject function fails After DynamoDB Connector Upgraded to 1.6.x from 1.5.x

The DynamoDB Connector 1.6.x upgrade includes underlying AWS SDK for Java version upgrade( 1.11.x to 2.x). In AWS SDK v2,  AttributeValue field never return null for the collection-type fields. As a result:

• Empty map attributes (M:{}) now surface as null in the m field instead of an empty object {}.
• Empty string set / number set / list / binary set attributes (SS, NS, L, BS) now surface as empty arrays [] instead of null.

DataWeave code that assumed the empty object {}or Null for empty array will fail.
