This issue occurs when a dashboard is configured to run as a specific non-admin user who does not have access to all the fields available in the source report.
The issue can be triggered when an administrator edits the dashboard and adds fields to one or more dashboard components that the configured “Viewing as” user does not have permission to access.
As a result, the dashboard component may fail to load and display the following error:
“We can't show this table because the "Viewing as" person doesn't have access to all the fields.”
The affected users may still be able to open and run the underlying report successfully because their own permissions allow them to access the report. However, dashboard components are evaluated based on the permissions of the user configured in the dashboard's “Viewing as” setting.
Once the dashboard component enters this state, reverting the field changes does not resolve the issue. The affected component must be removed and recreated using the same source report.
