Connection inputs ensure consistency across agents that use the same connection.
Connection inputs can’t be edited during a conversation, ensuring that the values are consistent
throughout the agent's interaction. You can customize a specific agent’s connection inputs without
impacting other agents.
Before you begin, create a service agent and add the Marketing Email connection to it. Currently, only the Marketing Email
connection includes connection inputs.
From the App Launcher, enter Agent, and then select the
Agentforce Studio app.
On the Agents tab, click the name of your agent.
On the Explorer panel, click Routing under Marketing Email.
To edit a connection input, click its name in the Inputs section. In the Edit Input window,
you can change the input’s details, such as its data type and default value.
Your changes only apply to the current agent and don't impact other agents that use the
same connection.
Save your changes.
To test connection inputs, chat with the agent on a connected channel.
