In Prompt Builder, you can test a prompt template with a single input at a time. Batch testing in Agentforce Studio Testing Center lets you evaluate a template across many inputs at once, so you can quickly identify gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases before they affect users.

To run a batch test, you create a test suite for the prompt template version you want to evaluate, download a CSV template, fill in your test cases, and upload it. After uploading your data, select scorers to define how responses are evaluated. Scorers check dimensions like coherence, completeness, factuality, and instruction following.

  • Create a Prompt Template Test Suite
Start a batch test by naming your test suite and selecting the prompt template and version you want to evaluate.
  • Add Prompt Template Test Data
Provide the test inputs your prompt template is evaluated against. Download a CSV template preconfigured for your prompt template's input variables, fill in your test cases, and upload it to run your evaluations.
  • Select Prompt Template Scorers
Choose the scorers you want to apply to your test cases. Each scorer evaluates a different dimension of your prompt template's output and returns a pass or fail result.
