AI Assist is available when you create a new prompt template. Describe your prompt goal and have an Agentforce agent create a structured template for you.
- To open Prompt Builder from Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Prompt Builder, and then select Prompt Builder.
- Click New Prompt Template, and then select Draft with AI.
-
Describe what you want your prompt to accomplish.
Use natural language to describe your goal. For example, enter Draft a summary for my account. Be specific about the context, tone, and any data you want the template to reference.
-
Optionally, add resources to the composer, such as an object like
Account.
AI Assist automatically creates template inputs for the resources you add.
-
Click Next, and then click
Draft with AI.
AI Assist creates a structured, Jinja-based prompt template. The draft appears in the canvas with green highlighting to indicate new content.
-
Review the draft in the canvas.
- To customize the draft, enter additional instructions in the canvas — for example, Make the tone casual — and review the updated version. Green highlighting shows additions and red shows removals.
- To accept all changes, click the checkmark at the bottom of the canvas.
- To discard the draft and start over, click Discard at the bottom of the canvas.
- Configure any remaining resource inputs and grounding data, then click Save.
The prompt template is saved with the AI Assist content. Test your template in the Preview panel to confirm it produces the expected output before activating it.
To customize the template after saving, open it in the Prompt Template Workspace and use AI Assist again with updated instructions.
