When resetting the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) verification methods from a user's profile page in Tableau Cloud, the following error may occur:

An error occurred while attempting to reset MFA verifiers. Please try again.

解決方案

When receiving the Tableau Cloud error that An error occurred while attempting to reset MFA verifiers, as a Tableau Cloud site administrator, try the following workaround:

  1. Remove the affected user from the Tableau Cloud site. For instructions, see View, Manage, or Remove Users.
  2. Add the user back to the site with the Tableau ‌MFA authentication type. For instructions, see Add Users to a Site.
  3. Ask the user to try signing in to the site again.
