You are here:
Map Fields and Generate Data Lake Objects
Review existing data lake object (DLO) mappings and create DLOs for any unmapped source objects.
This step has two tabs: Mapped for source objects already mapped to a DLO, and Require Action for source objects that need a DLO.
-
On the Mapped tab, review the source objects already mapped to a
DLO in Data 360.
Click Review Fields on any row to review the mapped fields for that object.
-
On the Require Action tab, identify source objects that don't
yet have a corresponding DLO in Data 360.
-
For each source object that you want to include, click Setup Data Lake
Object.
- In the Setup Data Lake Object dialog, review and confirm the pre-filled values for the object label, data stream name, object API name, and primary key.
-
Select an Object Category.
Most DLOs use Other. For more information, see Category.
- Click Generate Data Lake Object.
-
For each source object that you want to include, click Setup Data Lake
Object.
-
After the bridge generates all missing DLOs, the Require action
tab is disabled and you can click Next to proceed
You’re not required to create DLOs for all source objects before continuing, but the bridge excludes unmapped source objects from the generated semantic model.
Continue to Map Fields for Data Model Object Generation.
