          Make CRM Analytics Dashboards Actionable

          Make CRM Analytics Dashboards Actionable

Design each dashboard so that the audience can act on what they see without leaving Salesforce.

Make each action map to a step in the monitor-investigate-act flow. See Design for Your Audience: Personas and the Path of Inquiry.

          • Add actions to table rows and charts so that users can update a record, such as an opportunity stage, in context.
          • Add action buttons to start a Salesforce flow, run a mass action, or go to a destination.
          • Link table rows to the related account, opportunity, or case record.

For example, on an opportunity dashboard, add a table action that updates the Stage field directly from a row instead of requiring the user to leave the dashboard, or add an action button that starts a flow to schedule a follow-up task.
