Note
Note CRM Analytics MCP server is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

CRM Analytics MCP server is a Salesforce-hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. With one OAuth connection, MCP-compliant AI clients such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT can discover your analytics apps, query datasets, and read dashboard metadata. You don't build a custom integration to expose that data.

For an overview of Salesforce-hosted MCP servers, see Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers.

Use Cases for CRM Analytics MCP Server

CRM Analytics MCP server supports business users, developers, and admins who work with analytics assets in an AI client.

  • Query data in natural language: A business user in Claude or Cursor can ask questions such as "What were our top 10 accounts by revenue last quarter?" The AI client calls list_datasets, get_dataset, and get_xmd to understand the data structure, generates valid Salesforce Analytics Query Language (SAQL), runs it with execute_query, and returns formatted results. The user doesn't need to write SAQL.
  • Automate analytics reporting: A developer building an internal reporting tool can pull dataset schemas and query results into custom applications. The AI client that uses MCP handles authentication and query generation instead of hard-coded SAQL.
  • Audit analytics assets: An admin can inventory apps, datasets, and dashboards across the org with list_folders, list_datasets, and list_dashboards to build an analytics catalog quickly.
