Start the Reports Metadata Bridge and Select Your Data

Start the Reports Metadata Bridge to select your Lightning Experience report types from the populated list to find the source data objects to use for semantic model generation.

Start the Reports Metadata Bridge Flow

Open the Reports Metadata Bridge from Setup to start creating a new semantic model.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Metadata, then select Reports Metadata Bridge.
  2. Click Start Setup.
Reports Metadata Bridge landing page with the Start Setup button.
  3. In the Set Up Your Semantic Model window, select Generate New Semantic Model, and click Next Step.
Selecting the generate new semantic model option in the Reports Metadata Bridge

Selecting a new semantic model goes directly to reviewing your report types, while extending an existing model prompts you to select the target model before reviewing the report types.

Review and Select Source Reports

After selecting a semantic model, choose the source reports whose data you want to include in your semantic model.

Select data space and source reports for new semantic model
  1. Select the Data Space to use when the bridge creates data objects.
  2. In Review and Select Source Reports, select the required Lightning Experience source reports.
The bridge uses these reports to determine which data objects to include.
  3. Click Next.

Next, complete the following steps in the order listed. These steps are identical to those in the CRM Analytics Metadata Bridge.
