Considerations for Currency Support in Data 360 Reports

Keep these considerations in mind when using multiple currencies in Data 360 reports.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Data 360 in Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions
  • After you enable multiple currencies in Company Information, the setting can't be turned off. For more details, see Manage Multiple Currencies
  • The converted currency column shows the currency values based on report currency.
  • In Data 360 reports, currency fields are grouped using their converted value in the report currency. The grouping column displays these values using the report currency's ISO code, regardless of the original currency ISO code shown in the detail column. This grouping remains consistent whether you sort the report in ascending or descending order.
  • Currency filters accept numeric values only. Enter values without a currency code. The filter uses the report currency to compare the entered value with each record's converted value. For example, if the report currency is USD, enter 1000 to find records with a converted value of 1000 USD.
  • When filtering on currency values, the value displayed in the report might not match the value used for filtering. For example, a value displayed as 54.00 might be stored as 54.0000023. An equals filter for 54 doesn't return this record because the values don't match exactly. To find records reliably, use a range filter or enter the exact value, including all decimal places. You can't filter reports directly on a converted currency column. Instead, apply your filters to the original currency column.
  • If a record uses a null currency or a currency without a configured conversion rate, Data 360 reports can't convert the record amount. In this case, you can't add the Currency or Converted Currency columns to the report, and an error is shown that conversion rates are missing. To enable currency conversion, add the missing conversion rate in Setup > Manage Currencies. You can still apply bucketing and row-level formula to the Currency column, but summary formula isn't supported.
  • The converted currency column is available only in reports that support detail rows. Data model object (DMO) reports display the converted currency column when detail rows are enabled. Semantic data model (SDM) and calculated insight object (CIO) reports don't support detail rows, so the converted currency column isn't available in those reports.
