Build App Templates from Your Tableau Next Workspace (Beta)

App templates are collections of related assets that give users a quick way to install customized, reusable functionality. For Tableau Next, create an app template from a workspace. The workspace's data and insights resources become a template app that users can install in the same org or in other orgs. The app template maintains the relationships between the resources for each installation, so users get the same workspace functionality wherever they install an app from the template.

Note Template Builder is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

• Create an App Template
  App templates bundle assets from one or more Tableau Next workspaces so you can share related insights and data sources.
• Edit or Delete an App Template
  Edit a Tableau Next template's details or resources, remove template resources, or delete a template.
• Use App Templates
  The Templates page in Tableau Next shows app templates that you and other users have created. Create an app from a template to install customized workspace functionality in your org.
• Download Your App Template
  Download your Tableau Next app template to add customizations with variables, rules, and chains for installation flow. The downloaded template is a Salesforce package that you can deploy and install in other orgs.
