          Create Interactive Dashboards with Parameters

          Create interactive dashboards by using versatile parameter widget to help you model your data. Build more interactive dashboards that help you explore data and model different scenarios.

          Required Editions

          View supported editions.
          User Permissions Needed
          To edit Tableau Next dashboards: Tableau Unmetered Platform Analyst or Tableau Next Platform Analyst permission set
          1. Click the Parameter Parameter widget widget and select an area of the dashboard.
          2. Click Add Parameter.
          3. Select a listed parameter then click Select.
          4. Set up the parameter widget.
            1. Show As defaults to displaying the parameter as Input.
            2. Label is the filter's name on the dashboard.
            3. Set Parameter sets the initial value for the parameter.
          5. Save the dashboard when you're done.
          6. To format the parameter widget, such as border color or giving the widget a more rounded look, go to the Design tab.
