          Monitor Your Data in Tableau Next (Beta)

          Monitor your data lake objects (DLO) referenced in workspaces directly in Tableau Next. Do all your data-related tasks in one space without switching context. The Tableau Next Data Monitor provides you with tracking information for your DLOs and data connections, including status, source workspace, and other details.

          Required Editions

          Note Tableau Next Data Monitor is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.
          User Permissions Needed
          To view the Data Monitor Tableau Unmetered Consumer or Tableau Next Consumer Self-Service permission set and Data Cloud User permission set
          Note
          Note All users with the correct permissions can view the Data Monitor. The visibility of data objects and connections is limited to user access to the asset types and individual assets. For more information, see Data Governance and Sharing in Tableau Next.

          Only data assets referenced in Tableau Next workspaces are visible in the Data Monitor.

          1. From Tableau Next, click Data Monitoring.

          2. The default view is Data Objects, displaying your DLO details.

            1. To view the DLO details, job history, or open the DLO, use the action menu Data monitor action menu.
            2. Filter the list by connector or connection type or search using specific text.
          3. To view the list of your connections, open the Data Connections tab.

            1. To view the connection details or open the connection, use the action menu Data monitor action menu.
            2. To view a list of all dependent assets, click the value in the Dependent Assets column.
            3. Filter by connector type, user name, or status or search using specific text.
