Refine an Existing Semantic Model with Semantic Modeler (Beta)

To refine an existing semantic model, simply describe the changes you need in natural language to the Semantic Modeler within the model builder. Whether you’re adding calculated fields, including new data objects, or updating relationships, the Semantic Modeler helps you make these modifications through natural conversation.

          Note

Semantic Modeler is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer’s sole discretion.

          1. Open your existing semantic model in the Semantic Builder.
          2. Click on the Agentforce icon on the top right corner. The Semantic Modeler side panel opens.
          3. Select the deployed Semantic Modeler agent from your active assistant list.
          4. Ask the agent to modify or update your model by describing a structural change or field addition in plain text. Here are some examples:
            • Add a calculated field by asking "Add a calculated field for average sales per product family".
            • Change a calculated field by asking "Remove the quarter value from the sum in the average revenue per store calculated field".
            • Add data objects to the model by asking "Include case and contact objects to track our custom customer service performance metrics."
          5. Semantic Modeler shows its suggestion for applying your request to the semantic model. When asking to change the data objects in the semantic model, you can click Review to open the list of available data objects. You can change the selections if needed by checking or unchecking items. When you’re ready, click Continue to return to your conversation with Semantic Modeler.
          6. Click Continue to accept the suggestion and apply the change, or Ignore to cancel your request.
          7. Semantic Modeler notifies you when the changes are applied. You can continue the conversation or leave it at that.
