            Create a Workspace in Tableau Next

            Everything in Tableau Next begins in a workspace. To create an analytical asset in Tableau Next, you must start in a workspace.

            Required Editions

            View supported editions.
            User Permissions Needed
            To create a workspace: Tableau Unmetered Platform Analyst or Tableau Next Platform Analyst permission set

            To create a workspace, follow these steps.

            1. On the Tableau Next home page, click New Workspace.
            2. Name the workspace.
            3. Add a description for the workspace.
            Note
            Note The workspace name and description metadata is visible to others from Home when they click Show Information on your workspace.
