Apply Bulk Actions to Content Blocks

Select multiple content blocks and apply targeting or scheduling rules to all of them at once. Bulk actions reduce the time required to manage seasonal campaigns and site-wide content updates.

          Required Editions

          Available in: B2C Commerce

To apply bulk actions, your role must include the Manage_All_Libraries functional permission in the organization context, or Manage_Site_Library in the context of the site.

When you apply a targeting rule in bulk, the system applies the rule to each selected content block individually. If a content block already has a targeting rule, the bulk action replaces it. The operation processes each content block in a separate transaction, so some content blocks can succeed even if others fail.

          1. Click App Launcher, and then select Merchant Tools | site | Content | Content Blocks.
          2. In the content block list, select the checkboxes next to the content blocks that you want to update.
Select up to 10 content blocks at a time for bulk actions.
          3. From the bulk actions menu, select the action you want to perform:
            • Bulk Schedule — Set a common start and end date for all selected content blocks.
            • Bulk Assign Campaign — Assign all selected content blocks to the same campaign or promotion.
            • Bulk Assign Customer Group — Apply the same customer group targeting to all selected content blocks.
          4. Configure the targeting details.
          5. Click Apply.
A summary shows how many content blocks the system updated successfully and any that failed. Review the details for any failures and retry those content blocks individually if needed.
