            Create a Content Block

            Create a content block by saving a component in Page Designer. The content block retains the component's content, attribute values, and targeting rules.

            Required Editions

            Available in: B2C Commerce

            After you save a component as a content block, it appears in the Content Blocks menu in Page Designer and in the Content Blocks module in Business Manager.

            1. In Page Designer, open the page containing the component you want to convert.
            2. Select the component.
              The right pane shows the component's attributes.
            3. At the bottom of the right pane, click Save as New Content Block.
            4. Enter a name for the content block.
              Use a descriptive name such as "Holiday Promo Banner" or "Footer Navigation".
            5. Click Apply.

            The component is now a content block. A purple highlight border and special icon distinguish it from regular components. The block appears in the Content Blocks menu for use on other pages and in the Content Blocks module for centralized management.
