Create Feed Files
Create a maximum of three new feed definitions. Use field definitions when your imported attributes require a different import frequency (daily versus weekly) or when they are fed from different backend systems.
- Create the custom active data attributes you want to import.

Click App Launcher
, and then select .
- On the Feed Definitions page, in the Product Active Data section, click New.
- On the New Customer/Product Active Data Feed page, edit the columns and attributes of the feed.
- Click Apply.
- Import the feed file.
The following example shows a feed with a feed definition ID of Backend_Weekly_Feed. The feed includes all standard import attributes and a custom attribute, avgRec, intended to indicate an average recommendation value for the product. This feed contains two custom active data attributes: avgRec and customRec. The avgRec attribute contains an integer value of one to five, which is the average number of stars selected by user recommendations. The customRec attribute is two words selected from a list offered to customers on how to describe the item. It provides an example of a Set-of-String data type.
