Manage Payment Methods for B2C Commerce

With Salesforce Payments, you can offer shoppers either the Checkout or Express Checkout payment method, or both. Checkout payment methods include credit cards, SEPA Debit, iDEAL, Bancontact, PayPal, Venmo, Klarna, EPS, and Afterpay. Express Checkout payment methods include Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. The payment methods are available in any country that Stripe, Adyen, and PayPal supports.

          Available in: B2C Commerce

          Activate Payment Methods

Activate the payment methods that you want to offer shoppers in your storefront.

          1. In Business Manager, click App Launcher, and then select Merchant Tools | Site | Ordering | Salesforce Payments.
          2. Click Configure and select the payment methods that you want to offer.
Select Checkout, Express Checkout, or both. Before activating Express Checkout, see Express Checkout Considerations for B2C Commerce.
          3. Click Next.
If you activate Express Checkout, the credit card payment method is automatically enabled for express checkout transactions. Many express checkout payment methods, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, use credit cards. The express checkout enablement has no impact on the methods enabled for Checkout.
          4. Click Activate.

          Configure Payment Methods

Configure which payment methods you want to offer shoppers for Checkout and Express Checkout in your storefront.

          1. In Business Manager, click App Launcher, and then select Merchant Tools | Site | Ordering | Salesforce Payments.
          2. Select a payment zone.
          3. In the Configured Payment Methods menu, select Edit.
          4. Choose which payment methods you want to offer.
You must offer at least one Checkout payment method. You can deselect all Express Checkout payment methods. Your site can use multiple currencies. During checkout, payment is based on the currency of the shopper’s basket. See Multi-Currency Sites in B2C Commerce.
          5. Save your changes.

          Organize Payment Methods

Arrange the sequence of payment methods to highlight preferred options for your shoppers during the checkout process.

The available payment methods depend on whether your store uses the Stripe or Ayden payment gateway and on the plug-in cartridge for the Salesforce Payments integration.

          6. Drag the items in the list into your preferred order.
          7. Repeat these steps for each payment zone.

          Deactivate a Payment Method

          1. In Business Manager, click App Launcher, and then select Merchant Tools | Site | Ordering | Salesforce Payments.
          2. Click Configure and select the payment method that you want to deactivate.
          3. Click Next.
When you deactivate Checkout on a site, shopper payment information doesn't migrate between B2C Commerce and Stripe or Adyen. Any payment account information that Stripe or Adyen stored before the site was deactivated isn't available or viewable in the registered shopper’s account on the storefront.
          4. Confirm and click Deactivate.
You can't activate one checkout method and deactivate the other checkout method at the same time.
          5. To reactivate a payment method, repeat the activation process.
