          Create a Shopper Consent

          Create a Shopper Consent

Directly connect with your shoppers by getting permission to send marketing communications according to the terms that you outline in the consent request.

          1. In the B2C Commerce navigation sidebar, select Merchant Tools | Site | Online Marketing | Consent Management.
          2. On the Consents page, click New Consent.
          3. Enter a unique name for the consent without spaces.

You can use alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores.

After you save the name, you can't change it.

          4. Set the Default Checkbox Status as checked or unchecked and set the consent as required or not.

After you save the consent, you can't change these selections.

          5. Set the consent as enabled or not.
          6. Select a locale, and enter the text that explains the consent.

This text appears next to the consent checkbox. You can also enter subtext that appears under the consent checkbox text.

            Important
Important Each consent request displays only one checkbox, regardless of how many channels are associated with that consent. When a shopper checks the box, the consent applies to all the associated channels. Make sure that the checkbox text states which channels the consent applies to. For example, "I agree to receive updates via email and SMS." If you want separate checkboxes for each channel type, create a consent for each channel.

If the site's locale has no matching locale text defined for the consent, the default text is displayed on the site. If there's no default or locale-specific checkbox text, the consent isn't displayed on the site.

          7. Select which site pages are associated with this consent.
          8. Select the communication channels that this consent supports.
          9. Click Save.
