You are here:
Configure General Settings for the OpenAI Product Feed
On the General Settings tab, enter your SFTP credentials and the seller information that OpenAI requires to list your products. Optionally, set global overrides for the price and image columns that apply to every row in your feed.
Before you configure General Settings, ensure that:
- Your site meets the prerequisites
- Catalog and Order feeds are configured for Einstein
- You have the SFTP credentials that Salesforce provides.
The General Settings tab has two sections:
- SFTP Configuration: Enter the SFTP credentials that Salesforce provides. The system uses these credentials to upload your product feed to OpenAI.
- Business Details: Provide the seller information that OpenAI needs to list your products. You can also set global overrides for the price and image columns. Business Details values apply to every row in the feed.
-
Click App Launcher
, and then select .
- Click the General Settings tab.
-
In the SFTP Configuration section, enter your SFTP credentials
and click Connect.
For step-by-step details, including how to disconnect, see Connect to OpenAI.
-
In the Business Details section, for Seller
Name, enter your store or brand name as you want it shown to shoppers in
ChatGPT.
The seller_name field is required. The value appears on every row of your feed.
- Optional:
(Optional) For List Price Book, select a price book.
The selected price book overrides the price column in Field Mapping. The dropdown lists only price books that are active and contain prices in the feed currency. If you later deactivate the selected price book, reconfigure List Price Book to point at a different price book. If you don't select a price book, the system derives the list price from the sale price book selected by the B2C Commerce price engine. See List Price Derivation.
- Optional:
(Optional) For Image View Type, select an image view type.
The selected image view type overrides the image_url column in Field Mapping. If you don't select a view type, the system uses the default mapping: large view, falling back to the first available view type.
Salesforce recommends that you select a specific view type. If your catalog doesn't include a "large" view type, the default fallback selects the first available view type, which can be unsuitable for ChatGPT (for example, a swatch view).
The system saves your General Settings and applies them to every row in the product feed. Your seller information and any global overrides are visible in the Product Feed Preview and in the daily feed sync.
After you configure General Settings:
- Connect to OpenAI
Configure the SFTP connection between B2C Commerce and OpenAI to allow product feed uploads.
