Shopper Agent Setup Overview

This flowchart is an overview of the setup tasks for the B2C Shopper Agent.

Agentforce Builder

The Agentforce Studio app is the home of the Agentforce Builder, the central hub to build, test, and monitor your agents. By default, Agentforce Studio is available in the App Launcher to all users in orgs with access to Agentforce.

The Agentforce Builder uses Agent Script for writing instructions and rules. For more information, see Build Enterprise-Ready Agents with the New Agentforce Builder and Agentforce Builder Considerations.

Note Starting the week of July 13, 2026, you can no longer create agents in the legacy Agentforce Builder in Setup. Instead, create an agent by using the Agentforce Builder in Agentforce Studio.

• Required Licenses for the B2C Shopper Agent
  Before you turn on the B2C Shopper Agent, enable these required licenses.
• Create a SLAS Client to Access Shopper APIs
  To give the agent secure access to the Shopper APIs, create a Shopper Login and API Access Service (SLAS) client and secret. The agent uses the SLAS client and secret to obtain a SLAS token for authorized calls to the APIs.
• Enable Agentic Commerce Search for the Shopper Agent
  Agentic Commerce Search is a paid add-on for B2C Commerce that replaces native keyword search with an AI model. Complete Agentic Commerce Search setup before you set up the Shopper Agent.
• Create a B2C Shopper Agent Using the Automated Setup
  Create a Shopper Agent with the automated tool available in Setup. Enter your configuration details on one page, and setup creates the agent.
• Agentforce Commerce Client for Messaging
  The Agentforce Commerce Client is the storefront app that shoppers use to chat with the Shopper Agent. Install the Commerce Client for your B2C Commerce storefront.
