Upgrade to B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ‘19 (Version 4.10)

B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (version 4.10) introduces changes that affect the Shopping Cart page and adds fixes for performance and security. These changes can disrupt your existing storefront after you upgrade the managed package. To resolve these changes in your B2B Commerce for Visualforce solution and keep your storefront working correctly, complete the following upgrade steps.

Required Editions

Salesforce Compatibility Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience for Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Any solution upgrading to B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (version 4.10) or later

User Permissions Needed
To edit Apex class access settings: Manage Profiles and Permission Sets
To access CC Admin and change settings: Access B2B Commerce for Visualforce Admin Settings permission set
Important
Important These steps are required for every B2B Commerce for Visualforce solution whose upgrade path includes Spring ’19 (version 4.10). However, these steps don't cover every new feature or change in this version. Depending on which features you want to use or which changes affect your existing solution, other upgrade steps are necessary. Check out the individual Spring ’19 (version 4.10) release notes for upgrade steps related to specific changes.
Tip
Tip Before you begin, complete the steps in Prepare Your Existing B2B Commerce for Visualforce Data for Upgrade and ensure that you've resolved the prerequisites for upgrading the managed package.
  1. To install B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (version 4.10), complete the steps in Upgrade the B2B Commerce for Visualforce Managed Package. Select the appropriate installation URL for your version and org type.
    Important
    Important Upgrading from B2B Commerce for Visualforce Summer ’18 (version 4.9) patch 3.136.29 or 3.136.28 to any build of B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ‘19 (version 4.10)? First, install Summer ’18 (version 4.9) patch 3.136.30, and then upgrade to Spring ‘19 (version 4.10).
  2. If your upgrade path includes B2B Commerce for Visualforce Summer ’18 (version 4.9), resolve disruptive changes introduced in that version.
  3. Update the permission set assigned to your storefront's guest user profile with access to the ccrz.ProductList Visualforce page.
    1. From Setup, enter Permission in the Quick Find box, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Find the permission set assigned to your guest users, and click Edit.
      Note
      Note
      • If you previously cloned the default CloudCraze Guest permission set, select the clone that you created.
      • If you previously relied on the default CloudCraze Guest permission set, the upgrade to Spring ’19 (version 4.10) renamed this permission set B2B Commerce Guest. To support a smoother upgrade experience, we recommend that you always clone default permission sets and modify the clones instead of modifying the default sets.
    3. On your permission set details, scroll to the Apps section and click Visualforce Page Access.
    4. In Visualforce Page Access, click Edit.
    5. From the Available Visualforce Pages list, select ccrz.ProductList, and move it to the Enabled Visualforce Pages list.
    6. Save your changes.
  4. Enable access for the ccrz.cc_ctrl_Formatter and ccrz.cc_util_Order Apex classes on the custom user profile assigned to your storefront's users.
    Note
    Note This step ensures that your registered users continue to receive order confirmation emails after your upgrade is complete.
    1. From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, and then select Profiles.
    2. Click the name of the custom user profile that you assign registered storefront users to.
    3. Scroll to the Enabled Apex Class Access section, and click Edit.
    4. From the Available Apex Classes list, select ccrz.cc_ctrl_Formatter and ccrz.cc_util_Order, and move them to the Enabled Apex Classes list.
    5. Save your changes.
  5. If you allow unregistered storefront users to check out anonymously, enable access for the ccrz.cc_ctrl_Formatter and ccrz.cc_util_Order Apex classes to your site's guest user profile.
    Note
    Note This step ensures that your guest users continue to receive order confirmation emails after your upgrade is complete.
    1. From Setup, enter Sites in the Quick Find box, and then select All Sites under Digital Experiences.
    2. Click Workspaces next to your site, and then click the Administration workspace tile.
    3. From the Administration menu, select Pages, and then click Go to Force.com.
    4. In the site details, click Public Access Settings.
      Note
      Note The profile that the site automatically created for your guest users displays. By default, the guest user profile is named Site Name Profile, such as B2B Storefront Demo Profile.
    5. Scroll to the Enabled Apex Class Access section, and click Edit.
    6. From the Available Apex Classes list, select ccrz.cc_ctrl_Formatter and ccrz.cc_util_Order, and move them to the Enabled Apex Classes list.
    7. Save your changes.
  6. Review the details about the new Shopping Cart page version 2.0, and determine whether you want to start using this version.
    Note
    Note The Shopping Cart page version 2.0 is enabled by default after you upgrade the available global data and then build and activate a new configuration cache.
  7. If you decide to continue using the legacy Shopping Cart page version 1.0, complete the following steps. If you want to start using Product List page version 2.0, skip to step 8.
    Update the Use Cart Page 2.0 configuration of the Cart module
    1. On the CC Admin tab in your org, select your storefront (1).
    2. In the Storefront Settings menu, select Configuration Settings (2).
    3. From the Module picklist, select Cart (3).
    4. Find the Use Cart Page 2.0 setting (4).
    5. Click Override (5) in the Action column.
    6. In the New Page Setting window, enter FALSE for Value, and click Create.
    7. Build and activate a new configuration cache.
  8. If you decide to start using the Shopping Cart page version 2.0, and you previously extended the Shopping Cart page version 1.0, update your extensions. The Shopping Cart page version 2.0 uses different API extension points than version 1.0. For details, review the extensions for the Shopping Cart page version 2.0.
  9. Integrate new search engine optimization (SEO) improvements into your existing solution.
    1. If you previously set up bot-enabled versions of your storefront pages for serving content directly to search engine bots, add bot-enabled footer content. Set up a CC Rich Contents record for the bot-enabled page footer.
    2. If you previously created any Handlebar template overrides, update your overrides to integrate SEO improvements added in this version.
  10. If you haven't already, verify that you've updated your org's sharing and security settings. Complete the steps in the following topics:
  11. Review the list of other fixes in this release, and complete any required upgrade steps.
  12. Finally, determine your next steps:
    • If your upgrade path isn't complete and still includes B2B Commerce for Visualforce Summer ’19 (version 4.11), continue to Upgrade to B2B Commerce for Visualforce Summer ’19 (Version 4.11).
    • If you're not upgrading any further than B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (version 4.10), review the information in Patch Notes for B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (Version 4.10). For each patch that precedes the build you installed, complete any required upgrade steps.
      Tip
      Tip Yes, some patches contain fixes that require you to complete extra steps. Each patch release is also cumulative, and contains all the fixes from the same major version's previous patches. For example, let's say that you when you upgraded to Spring ’19 (version 4.10) from Summer ’18 (version 4.9), you installed build 3.142.20. Review the notes from all B2B Commerce for Visualforce Spring ’19 (version 4.10) patches that preceded 3.142.20, and complete any extra upgrade steps.
