Increase engagement by showing personalized product recommendations on your store
pages. Use a Carousel component with the Product Recommendations data source to show dynamic
suggestions based on shopper activity.
From your store, go to Website Design | Experience Builder.
Select the page where you want to add product recommendations.
From the Components panel, drag the Carousel component to the
page.
Select the Carousel component and configure its properties:
Set Data Source to Product Recommendations.
For Source, select the anchor that determines which products to recommend. For
example, select Product Viewed to show recommendations based on
the current product.
Select the type of recommendations to show. Options include Recently Viewed,
Similar Products, Complementary Products, Customers Also Bought, and Featured
Products.
Use Hide Fewer Than to specify the minimum number of
products required before the carousel appears. The default is 1.
From the Components panel, drag the Product Card component into
the Carousel.
Configure product card properties to control which product details appear.
(Optional) To add a header to the recommendations section, drag a Text
Block component above the Carousel and enter a title, such as Recently
Viewed.
Preview your changes to verify that the recommendations appear correctly.
Publish your store to make the changes live.
Note Product recommendations rely on shopper activity data. Sometimes, if there isn't
enough data for the selected recommender, the carousel doesn't appear or shows fallback
recommendations.
Shoppers see personalized product recommendations based on their activity and the selected
recommender type, helping increase discovery and conversions.
