General Considerations for Price Filter and Sort Rules:

  • Products that don't have a price assigned are excluded from the results if the price range filter is applied. For example, if a customer enters a price range of $50 to $100, any products without a price or with a price outside this range doesn’t appear in the search results.
  • Products without prices appear at the end of the sorted list. For example, if a customer sorts products from the lowest price to the highest price, the results ‌can include Product A at $20, Product B at $30, Product C at $40, and Product D with no price.
  • The price filter supports a maximum of 15 digits, including both the whole number and decimal digits. In your store, that number is rounded up to the nearest whole number without decimals.
  • If you selected Show parent product only as your display setting for the product list page, inconsistencies can occur with price filters and sorting rules. For example, if a customer sets a price filter to $50, the UI might show a parent product priced at $100. This happens because the system uses variant prices to filter and sort, but displays the parent product’s price. To avoid this issue, use the Show best match only option. See Configure How to Display Product Variation Search Results
  • If your buyer-specific pricing is $8 and your guest pricing is $10, the filter and sorting functions will display prices based on the guest pricing. This is because we only use guest prices for these features. See Pricing for B2B Stores

Considerations for Price Filter and Sort Rules on Indexing:

Considerations for Price Filter and Sort Rules on Support of Markets:

  • For stores with multiple currencies set up using Markets, the shopper’s locale currency is shown in the price filter. See Configure Markets for Your Commerce Store.
  • • Without Markets, the store’s default currency is used for price filtering.

Considerations for Price Filter and Sort Rules on Subscriptions:

  • The price filter isn’t available for stores that have Salesforce pricing for subscriptions enabled.
  • To enable Salesforce pricing for subscriptions, first remove the price filter and reindex. See Enable Selling Subscriptions for B2B Stores.
